BIO
Anthony is a 1976 graduate of Prince Edward County High School. He went on to attend Howard University, and graduated from Chowan University. He vowed to never work a forty hour a week job in order to always have time to pursue his love for Art. He was fortunate enough to have always worked a part-time job while dedicating time to pursue a career as a full time Artist. He retired after thirty-one years in The United States Air Force Reserves. He is presently finishing up his second degree from Thomas Nelson Community college in Hampton, Virginia while still leaving time to pursue his dream.
He works in acrylics, and graphite pencils. His works depicts a wide range of colors and diversity in the use of shape and form. Being open to different art forms, and challenging life experiences have given him a broad perspective of all types of art styles. This allows him to mix different art forms together to create new and unique works of art. There are many collectors of his artworks and he exhibits throughout the Hampton Roads Washington, D.C. areas.
Statement
Poo Bear - "The painting depicts a mother's hand that uplifts her newborn as though a bear holds her newborn baby cub. The hand represents protection and love as the new arrival enters her journey through life."
Silly Love Song - "A little girl playing a song for the one she loves. She is much too young to be in love, but not too young to love the music that she makes."
