Bethel Aniaku
Painting is continual research for me. I best capture present reality by using the abstract. My compositions play with color, light, space and various materials. Day after day, I slowly add layers to my canvas, trusting my instincts over any particular idea. In the end, this process lets the true nature of the piece emerge.
I'm an American Lome, Togo born artist/plastician. I studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts in France in 1999. I participated in group and solo exhibitions in Africa, Europe, Japan, Canada and the United States. - B. Aniaku |
