Her love for the arts started at a young age when her parents allowed her to draw all over her yellow bedroom walls. Today her paintings capture the stillness in life, the moments we are often too busy to see. These quite moments can be the most inspiring. Her newest paintings focus on combining elements of physics and universal equations into her abstract landscapes.
One series titled the ‘Gold Collection’ incorporates gold leaf and gilding techniques. Most recently her painting titled ‘Battle Scars’ won Special Recognition from the Light, Space, and Time Online Art Gallery’s 2015 Open Theme Competition.
While on the Island of St. Thomas I discovered herds of wild donkeys that live there and roam about freely. I was delighted when I happened on a small pack and immediately started photographing them. They were so adorable and content I wanted to bring them to life on canvas.
