"Laws of Attraction"
This piece represents the natural and physical law of attraction. Just as particles are attracted to one another by the laws of physics, people are no different. We are all made up of particles just the same.
"Pull Someone Up"
We are all here for eachother. One hand reaches up to move yourself forward, the other reaches back to pull someone along with you.
"Power"
Power equals Work over Time. The more work done over a period of time the more power you create. This painting is suggestive of how much power a small group can generate as illustrated in the greatness of the movement in the sky. The group at the bottom is a nod to the celebration of Carnaval and a reminder that we do not have to be grand to be powerful.
"Mechanical Energy"
Mechanical Energy is the sum of potential and kinetic energy. It is the energy associated with the motion and position of an object. This piece represents the ongoing movement of mass and indirectly indicates the forward motion of a group of people.

About The Artist
Artist Statement
I represent celebration in my art by using flickers of gold. Sometimes a lot, sometimes less. This represents the big and small moments of celebration. These works were inspired by celebrations in New Orleans as well as Rio. I find celebration in helping one another, pulling each other along, moving forward together. People have so much power.
