This painting is entitled Prayer #4 the 4th oil painting in my "Praise Series", features an African-American woman giving praise to God. Praise gives glory to God and opens us up to a deeper union with Him. It turns our attention off of our problems and on the nature and character of God Himself.

Larry captures life around him with vibrant, provocative expression. He paints with a free spirit. For Larry, everything is a subject. In his own works “I paint to inspire individuals to develop their own concept of not just my work, but all artistic works and images.”
Bio
Larry captures life around him with vibrant, provocative expression. He paints with a free spirit.In 2010 as his segue into exhibitions began to gain momentum, Larry suffered a stroke that nearly cost him his life. Suddenly the focus of his life shifted to healing. After 2 years, Larry recovered his physical capabilities, but the stroke left him unable to speak. As a result, he retired from 30 years of practicing dentistry. Art is now his medium of Silent Expression.Using a variety of unique styles, Larry has created works of oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media collage that are both colorful and bold. Larry’s work has been shown at Strathmore Hall, Rockville, Maryland; The Corner Store Arts on Capital Hill; Harmony Hall in Ft. Washington, MD; in local corporate offices in Maryland and Virginia, and in private showings. He has created works on commission, and has also sold pieces to individual
