Great Initiative For Talented Students (G.I.F.T.S.)
Youth Programs
Program Goals: To cultivate, advance and promote talented youth who are at risk of dropping out or have already dropped out of school. Advance the brilliance of these talented young people. Cultivate their creativity and exhibit their accomplishments.
Program Objectives: To be the leading program in successful development of young talent: identify and prepare talented young people through mentoring, training and marketing to effectively enter the arts and entertainment marketplace and eventually replace senior leaders in their field within the United States and the other countries within our global community. It is our objective to fully prepare at least 50 extremely talented young people each year to build self-esteem, to perhaps even help those who have dropped out get back on a good educational track of getting a GED, enrolling in a community college while pursuing their creative dream successfully.
Program Philosophy: Organizational stewardship is vital in our program: to conserve the human resources and potential resources of our human community. It is our responsibility to develop, improve and nurture the talents of our young people so they may go on to make a difference in the lives of others. It is important to make sure their talents are properly utilized.
G.I.F.T.S. also serves high school drop outs interested in studio art (i.e., drawing, painting, design, photography, music, dance, and creative writing) and partner with businesses and other non-profit organizations who care about these young people’s future and who may wish to employ them in the future.
