A native Washingtonian, Trish returned to the DC area after receiving a graduate degree to raise a family. She was delighted to learn how to make fused glass plates from a local artist. She created the idea to make fused and molded glass dresses that looked like they were dancing. Member of NCAGG (2012) and The James Renwich Alliance (2015) Presently, she is a resident artist at the Washington Glass School.
Statement
"Stella" is made from a hand created mold using individually cut Bullseye glass in various colors placed in the mold."
"Asheley was made from a clear piece of glass which then had black and white stringers placed in position. Flowers were made using the lost-wax casting method for decoration. The piece was fired once in tack fuse and a second time in slump fuse using handmade molds for shaping."
